Partnership with SANParks
2014 Keep the Kruger Clean Campaign launched
Total South Africa will today launch the 2014 Keep the Kruger Clean Campaign, in partnership with SANParks, as part of the company’s commitment to conserve our natural environment by reducing litter in the park.
The Keep the Kruger Campaign has been running since 2008
The SANPark’s Keep the Kruger Clean Campaign was first initiated in 2008 and today’s Keep The Kruger Clean event encourages staff members, community members and school children from schools situated close to the park to join forces in a day-long, annual clean-up campaign to ensure that this – one of South Africa’s eight UNESCO World Heritage Sites – remains in a pristine condition.
Vukani the Vulture
In 2012, SANParks officially launched the “Vukani the Vulture” mascot, during the Keep the Kruger Clean Campaign. This year the mascot will continue to be visible throughout the park on all litterbins as a means to remind the public to keep the park free of litter and unwanted waste. Apart from the Keep the Kruger Clean project, Total South Africa is dedicated to supporting the Kids in Kruger project that teaches children about environmental matters while introducing them to the park in an enjoyable and fun manner.
